FlexForward24 is the next iteration in the FlexForward series of events, now in its 5th year. Starting out as a round table discussion event in 2019, FlexForward has evolved as flexible working has become part of the employment norm along with paid holidays and workplace pensions.

David Blackburn is one of the most awarded HR professionals working in the UK today, a recognised thought leader within his profession, he regularly contributes to articles, podcasts, roundtables and speaks at events across the UK and beyond. David is the Number Two Most Influential HR Practitioner in the HR Magazine Most Influential List 2024 and is both a Chartered Companion of the CIPD and the CMI. With almost 30 years’ experience in leading all aspects of human resources across multiple sectors including charities, financial services, IT, manufacturing, not-for-profit, retail and social housing.
Dr Charlotte Rae is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology at the University of Sussex, and Founder of Sussex 4 Day Week, a research-led support programme for employers who want to trial a 4 day working week. Charlotte’s research studies how a 4 day week can change staff wellbeing and work performance. She uses these research insights to help employers make the most of flexible working in their organisations.
